Bridging Tradition
& Innovation

Sarod Mystics is a fusion trio that creates ambient Indo-Western music rooted in the melodies of the Indian Classical Scales. Formed in the misty monsoons of Udaipur in July 2024, the band grew out of spontaneous jam sessions that gradually evolved into a distinct musical voice.

"Democratic sounds — open and inviting, the pieces weave together percussion, strings, and occasional vocals organically, layer by layer."

With nearly two decades of combined musical experience, Sarod Mystics continues to push boundaries through immersive improvisations and innovative approaches to composition and production. Their aim: a listening experience that is both meditative and dynamic.

Drupad Mistry
Sarod
Drupad Mistry
Born into a lineage of Hindustani classical music, Drupad began absorbing sarod melodies before he could speak — his father Bhargav Mistry would practise at home daily. He later trained under the legendary Ustad Amjad Ali Khan in Delhi, and has performed across England, France, Italy, Hong Kong, South Korea, Greece, and beyond.

Neeraj Mistry
Neeraj showed a knack for rhythm before the age of three, clapping along to jingles with uncanny precision. He studied tabla under Shri Ram Krishna Bose, absorbed Rajasthan's Manganiyar folk traditions, and discovered the handpan through a viral YouTube video. He also brings bhapang, khadtal, and ghungroos to introduce fresh tonal textures.

Anhad Imaan
Anhad began guitar at 10, later expanding his palette by playing with Carnatic musicians. Around 13, a chance encounter and jam session with Susmit Sen — co-founder of Indian Ocean — changed his trajectory. He has designed film scores for documentaries and performed at the Delhi Arts Week (2017) and Vienna Summer School Music Festival (2018).
